PRESENCE OF THE IGNFI-LADEC-GEOFIT TEAMING IN ISARE COMMUNE

The population of the ISARE commune in the province of Bujumbura is satisfied with the achievements of the Burundi Landscape Restoration and Resilience Project (PRRPB), especially the achievements of its sub-component dealing with land certification. Indeed, this sub-component is being implemented by the IGNFI-LADEC-GEOFIT consortium.

The Team uses the approach known as the grouped operation recognition (OGR), which makes it possible to systematically organise the work of recognising local lands for submitted applications for certification collectively through the locality councils, parcel by parcel until a total coverage of a zone/collline is achieved. With this approach, more than 62769 lands parcels have already been recognised and 34850 certificates issued.
